Allianz Egypt Launches Critical Care Insurance Program

Allianz Egypt has recently launched a new health insurance program, “Best Doctors“, in cooperation with the Best Doctors Company. The product provides customers with access to the world’s best doctors and treatment at internationally renowned facilities.

“The Best Doctors concept which is provided by Allianz provides protection where it is most needed – against high cost of treatment for life-threatening diseases by international experts outside of Egypt.  The focus on certain, but common, critical illnesses helps us to keep the cost low thus making it affordable for a large number of Egyptian customers.” said Udo Krueger, CEO and Chairman at Allianz Egypt.

The Best Doctors program identifies the most appropriate doctors and treatment centers for the specific needs of the customer, for treatments of cancer treatment, coronary artery bypass surgery, heart valve replacement, neurosurgery and live donor transplant. This is in addition to providing the necessary arrangements for healthcare admission, travel, accommodation and a travel companion.

In addition, an in-depth review of an insured member’s medical files to confirm the diagnosis and most effective treatment services are offered. This “second opinion” can reduce potentially serious complications from a misdiagnosis and help the member’s local treating physician determine the proper course of action.

Best doctors is part of a series of products that Allianz Egypt has lined up for launch over the coming period, such products will address the increasing demand of customers for financial and insurance services such as life and investment insurance.
